Dissertation Dedication

Below is my doctoral dissertation,

No matter if the sun goes up or down.

Without overture and without narration,

Not for exhibitions, nor for a crown.

Then why comes this thesis and what’s its meaning?

For saving the world and innocent souls?

Down-to-earth for harvest with humble gleaning,

Maybe dares it, somewhere, reveal its roles?

With starts and deadlines of it day and night,

Life’s quite a series of marathon races.

But when, on your way, you reach a new height,

Around you, always, are the cheering faces.

Oh, my love that all I have, here give I,

To Illinois, Canada, and Shanghai.
